Warning: SPOILERS for both DIRE and JOSHUA LANE's first seasons!

Following eventful runs in their respective first seasons, "Dire" and "Joshua Lane" have officially been renewed by Pacer1 to move forward with production on their individual second seasons.

Following their successful debut at the start of the year, Dire earned praise from audiences, and found incredible success both on the Pacer1 website as well as partner site StoryFire, where it has become one of the website's most successful series. Running for a jam-packed four episodes, Dire concluded it's first run in January with the season finale "The Most Selfless Form of Evil", with protagonist Jaime and her group beginning to plan for the immediate future in an environment where time is of the essence. In Season 2, Dire seems to be directing itself on a course to flushing out its main core, offering a challenge of survival with a question as to the ability of one to thrive in a world as chaotic and hopeless as the one they find themselves in.

Running for a longer seven episode inaugural run, Joshua Lane took a slight amount of time trying to find its footsteps, providing Pacer1 with decent ratings on the StoryFire platform, whilst seemingly under-performing on Wattpad and the Pacer1 website. Despite these struggles, the project has decided to give the series a greenlight on a second season following their initial season finale at the end of April. Title character Joshua Lane managed to pull Eliza down to his level, the smoking gun responsible for bringing an end to Lieutenant Eric Devine being cradled in her hands, blurring the lines she had spent the entire season emboldening. Still haunted by his demons, Joshua Lane's potential death at the end of the first season spells an ironic twist, his past catching up to him in ways his present seemingly never can, only ensuring he goes into the second season of the series serving as his own worst enemy... If he even makes it to the second season at all.
